According to the results of the APEAL Study conducted by American research company J.D. Power and released on July 24, 2025, Porsche ranked first in the premium category for the second consecutive year.
"APEAL Study" is an abbreviation for "Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout."
This marks the fifth time that Porsche has taken the top spot in this annual survey, including the second year in a row that it has been ranked number one among premium segment brands.

Moreover, the Taycan took the top spot in the upper midsize premium car segment for the third consecutive year, while the 911 also took the top spot in the premium sports car category.
The APEAL survey measures owners' emotional attachment and excitement about their new car across 37 categories, ranging from the comfort of getting into the driver's seat to the exhilaration of stepping on the accelerator.
The maximum score is 1000 points, and Porsche came in first with 890 points out of 1000. By the way, the average score for premium brands is 881 points.
In the APEAL survey for each car segment, the Porsche 911 came in first in the sports car segment, scoring a high 902 points out of a possible 1000.

This APEAL survey targeted 92,964 owners of new 2025 model cars, and was conducted as a questionnaire survey 90 days after purchasing their new car. The survey was conducted from June 2024 to May 2025, targeting vehicles registered between March 2024 and February 2025.
