The scam ends when it becomes 150kW.
I believe it was around 2020 that it was first announced that the output of the CHAdeMO standard Porsche turbochargers installed at Porsche centers nationwide would be 150kW.
At that time, all CHAdeMO quick chargers nationwide were still rated at 90kW.
After that, the power did not reach 150kW, so I called it a "scam that would become 150kW" (sorry Porsche), but finally!
A while ago, one charger at PEC Tokyo became 150kW, the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba station also became 150kW, and now from December 20, 2023, the CHAdeMO standard chargers installed at Porsche Centers nationwide will be 150kW. It was announced that it has become an output.
Finally in 2023!
It's no longer a scam. A CHAdeMO with a true 150kW output is available at Porsche Centers.
Of course, not only Porsche but also Audi and Volkswagen electric car owners who are members of the Premium Charging Alliance will be able to use the 150kW charger.
In addition to the Porsche Center, there are also 18 CHAdeMO Porsche Turbo Charging Stations located in 10 locations, mainly in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.
I think this is good news for electric car owners.
