The Porsche 911: Pure Driving Pleasure
Well, finally, the announcement has come from Porsche that the new Porsche 911 will be unveiled.
Regarding the announcement of this new 911, Japan time isTuesday, April 14, 2026 23:00It will be streamed on Porsche's official YouTube channel and the Porsche Newsroom website (links below).
Prior to this announcement, Porsche announced that they would be adding a new sports car designed for driving enjoyment to the 911 lineup.
Its performance is incredible, and what's more, it's not just about competing for the fastest times or winning on the circuit; it's also said to be "for enjoyment." So, it's a model that says, "It's fast, but more than that, we want to have fun," and in that case, it has to be the Porsche 911 GT3 SC (Sports Cabriolet) that's been rumored for a while!!!
...I'd be incredibly embarrassed if I'm wrong after saying all this (lol), but I think that's probably the case.
This also matches the announcement date that was rumored in the gossip community, which I trusted the most from the very beginning.
There were sightings of it a little while ago.
The announcement will include a vehicle explanation by Porsche AG experts, as well as a video showcasing the final test run conducted on the beautiful winding roads of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain.
The announcement will be made late at night Japan time, but I'll hold off on drinking alcohol for a bit that night (lol) and make sure to sit down and watch the announcement properly!
