Porsche's all-electric car: New Macan GTS unveiled

Sporty, driver-focused GTS model joins fully electric Macan

The new Macan GTS was announced on October 22, 2025, and pre-orders began in Japan at authorized Porsche dealerships nationwide on the same day.

The announced Macan GTS is the fifth version of the fully electric Macan.

The model name "GTS" is said to be a model that has been highly acclaimed among Porsche enthusiasts since the 904 Carrera GTS in 1963, and this time it has appeared for the first time in the fully electric Macan.

Let's take a look at the details of what was announced:

• Like the Macan Turbo, the fully electric Macan GTS model features the most powerful rear-axle electric motor in the model series.
• The power supply unit is 230mm in diameter, 210mm in effective length, and equipped with a highly efficient 900A silicon carbide (SiC) pulse inverter.
• The new Macan GTS has a maximum output of 380 kW (516 PS), which increases to 420 kW (571 PS) with overboost power when launch control is used.
• Maximum torque of 955Nm
• Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds
• Acceleration to 200km/h in 13.3 seconds
• The maximum speed is limited to 250 km/h
• Like the Macan Turbo, the transmission features a 9.0:1 gear ratio and is specially designed to withstand the performance model's massive torque.
• Combined range of up to 586km in WLTP mode
• At suitable fast-charging stations, the 100 kWh high-voltage battery can be charged from 101 TP1T to 801 TP1T in just 21 minutes, with a maximum charging capacity of 270 kW.

• Sport Chrono Package comes as standard
• The familiar circuit mode (track mode) from the Taycan has been added, allowing for particularly high-performance driving.
• This mode increases the level of cooling for the battery, minimizing power loss due to heat buildup (derating effect) and significantly improving performance under sustained loads.

Sports air suspension tuned specifically for the GTS

• The new Macan GTS combines rear-biased weight distribution, a low centre of gravity and intelligent power management to deliver power in true sports car style.
• In addition to the fast-reacting electronic Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) 4WD system, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) is also standard.
• An electronically controlled differential lock located just behind the rear motor improves traction and agility, with a 48:52 rear-biased weight distribution

• The new Macan GTS features the lowest center of gravity in the model lineup.
• Engineers have specially refined the sports air suspension with level control and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM)
• A 10mm lower ride height and model-specific tuned dampers and anti-roll bars provide superior agility and cornering precision
• Optional rear axle steering is available for further enhancement.

• The emotional character of the new Macan GTS is also reflected in its sound.
• The Porsche Electric Sport Sound (PESS) function offers two sound profiles specific to the GTS: "Sport" and "Sport Plus" modes, each with its own distinctive characteristics.

Exterior: Black accents and special side skirts

• Unique styling is also a feature of the new Macan GTS
• The exterior is characterised by various black painted details at the front, sides and rear that define the signature elements of all Porsche GTS models.
• Particularly striking are the tinted matrix LED headlights and the powerfully contoured outer edge of the upper air blade.

• Porsche will introduce a new Sport Design package for all Macan models from early 2026, including new front and rear aprons.
• The Macan GTS not only comes standard with these features, but is also the first model to feature a GTS-specific styling package.
• Contrasting parts such as inserts, side blades, wheel arch trims and the adaptive rear spoiler lip are finished in black.

• The side skirts have also been redesigned, widening towards the rear and contributing to the car's purposeful appearance.
• The lower rear has a distinctive design with black trim and an accentuated diffuser panel.
• The taillights are tinted to the same color as the headlights.
• 21-inch Macan Design alloy wheels in Anthracite Grey are standard.
• 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels in the same finish are also available as an option.

• Three new colors added to the new Macan GTS
• The popular Crayon is back, along with the GTS-exclusive Carmine Red and, for the first time on a Macan, Lugano Blue.
• In addition to the 15 colors available in the Porsche Car Configurator, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers around 60 more colors through the Paint to Sample program.

Interior: Optional color-matched decorative stitching

• The interior of the new Macan GTS features Race-Tex trim with elements in smooth black leather to further enhance its sporty appearance.
• Race-Tex is used on the heated multifunction GT sports steering wheel, center console and door panel armrests, and dashboard.
• The adaptive 18-way adjustable sports seats also feature Race-Tex centre panels, with smooth leather seat bolsters and headrests.

• The optional GTS interior package makes it possible to colour-coordinate the exterior and interior of the fully electric Macan for the first time.
• This package is available in Carmine Red, Slate Gray Neo, and Lugano Blue to match the exterior paint color.
• Contrasting decorative stitching on the seats, steering wheel, door panels and upper dashboard is finished in the respective colours, as are the seat belts and the GTS logo on the seats.
• The steering wheel also comes with a color-matched GTS logo badge.
• The package also includes the Carbon Interior Package, which adds carbon fiber trim to the steering wheel, dashboard, and door panels.

• The GTS theme continues in the digital cockpit.
• The 3D vehicle visualization on the center display reflects the actual exterior color, and the instrument cluster displays the GTS logo.
• Many of the functions of the standard Sport Chrono Package (lap times, telemetry recording, sector analysis, etc.) can be accessed via the app on the center display.

New assistance, comfort and entertainment features

• The new Macan GTS also benefits from the latest updates implemented across the Macan model range, with further improvements to driver assistance systems and digital features.
• Specifically, the addition of a Porsche Digital Key to the physical key, a new parking assist function, an AI-enabled voice pilot, expanded in-car games, and an increase in maximum towing capacity to 2,500 kg.
