Porsche 992 Carrera Manual car without option fee
As for the story in the United States, it was confirmed that the manual transmission will be provided without an option fee for the latest Porsche 911 model 992 Carrera S and Carrera 4S ~ ^ ^
★ Addition (2020.4.28) ★
For Europe, MT cars were announced at 992 Carrera S / Carrera 4S, so please check them out if you like. 7-speed manual added to new Porsche 911 Carrera S, Carrera 4
In other words
- 8-speed PDK
- 7-speed MT
However, both will be available as standard equipment (correctly, the standard is PDK, and it will be changed to MT for free).
992 base model Carrera is PDK only
Unfortunately, according to the information at this time, the MT transmission will be offered in the new Porsche 911.
- Carrera S (Coupe & Cabriolet)
- Carrera 4S (Coupe & Cabriolet)
And it seems that the base model Carrera will be provided only for PDK.
The manual transmission provided by the new Porsche 911 (992) seems to be the same as the 7-speed MT 991.2.
New Porsche 911 (992) Carrera S, Carrera 4S MT cars also come with sports chrono
It seems that the MT 992 comes with a sports chrono package as standard, so I'm also happy ^ ^ In other words, it's free (no option fee), MT + sports chrono!
By the way, it seems that the weight of Carrera S will be reduced by 84 pounds (about 38 kg) by making it an MT car, but even so, 0-60 miles (0-96.5 km) compared to PDK is from 3.3 seconds of PDK. It will be 0.7 seconds slower, about 4.0 seconds.
I'm wondering if MT cars will come into Japan, but it's a delicate point whether left-handed cars will come in, right? ?? I wonder what will happen.
It is very disappointing that the base model Carrera does not have MT, but I do not know what will happen in the future, so I would like to look forward to it ^ ^
