992.2 type new Porsche 911 Carrera S announced

The Porsche 911 Carrera S (992.2 type) was announced on January 8, 2025.

An internal combustion engine car, just as it was said to be.Unfortunately, the manual transmission that was said to be available was not announced. Only PDK is available.

• The coupe accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 308 km/h.
• The transmission is an 8-speed PDK.

• Carrera S now comes with a significant increase in standard equipment.
  • Staggered tires on 20/21-inch Carrera S wheels
  • Sports exhaust system with silver tailpipes
  • Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) *Not available on Carrera models
• New braking system offers a significant upgrade in terms of driving dynamics
  • Red brake caliper
  • 408mm front and 380mm rear discs come as standard.

• There are also a variety of options available
  • Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)
  • PASM sports suspension with 10mm lower ride height combined with rear-wheel steering
• Damper hydraulics have been optimized compared to the previous model, improving precision and responsiveness for even better drivability.
• The steering is now more direct in combination with the rear-axle steering, and the dynamics of the front axle have also been adjusted.
• This ensures even more agile and direct handling, and significantly improves stability at high speeds.

• Two seats are standard on the coupe, but you can add a folding rear seat at no extra cost.

New Porsche 911 Carrera S domestic price

As of 9:00am on January 8th, there has been no official announcement from Porsche Japan, but according to the configurator, the vehicle price is:

• Coupe: 22,030,000 yen
• Cabriolet: 24.57 million yen

The prices in Germany include VAT and equipment fees for German vehicles:

• Coupe: 154,800 euros (approximately 25.24 million yen)
• Cabriolet: 169,000 euros (approximately 27.55 million yen)

The selling price in the United States is $1,995 (approximately 315,000 yen), excluding sales fees, which is the vehicle price:

• Coupe: $146,400 (approximately 23.16 million yen)
• Cabriolet: $159,600 (approximately 25.25 million yen)

Delivery in the US is scheduled for spring 2025.
