Last year, I was talking to someone who had received a 718 Spider RS, saying that I wanted to line up my 718 GT4 RS with it someday, and the other day, I was finally able to line them up, so I'd like to talk about that time.

The 718 Spyder RS is an open-top model of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, and since they share the same powertrain, they can be considered sibling models.
The color of the Spyder RS I saw this time was Vanadium Gray Metallic.

The difference between the gold color of magnesium wheels and aluminum wheels
The wheels look gold... but they're actually a little different from the gold wheels I have at home.

If you look closely, you'll also notice that the wheel designs are different. The pink one I have (Ruby Star Neo) has a star/hexagram-like design in the center of the wheel.

The difference is that the wheels on the Vanadium Grey Spyder RS are "magnesium wheels".
Mine is a normal (that's how I put it lol) wheel↓

The wheels on both cars are optionally painted in a gold-like color, but even though they are both gold colors, the color is subtly different, which may not be very obvious in the photo.
This is because even though regular wheels and magnesium wheels are the same gold color, the optional colors are actually different.
The gold paint option for magnesium wheels is "Satin White Gold."

For wheels that are not magnesium, the gold paint option is "Satin Neodym."

Both are not bright, shiny gold, but rather a calm champagne gold, but Satin Neodym has a stronger gold color, while Satin White Gold, as the name suggests, has a more subdued gold feel and a more silver/platinum color.

I had seen this white satin color on other magnesium wheel models before and thought it looked nice, but looking at it again, I realized that the white satin on the magnesium wheels was truly beautiful.

Differences in rear logo position
As I was lined up the cars and looking closely at them, checking out the differences in the wheels, I made another discovery.

Here is it.
This is the "logo position" of the model name attached to the rear.
Eh? That's too small (lol)? But when you look at them side by side, the difference is noticeable.
First off, here's the Spyder RS logo.

And here is the GT4RS logo, also on the rear.

When lined up, it looks like this.
The Spyder RS logo is located at the bottom near the license plate, while the GT4 RS is located at the top.

Is this easier to understand?

With everyone here
"Maybe the logo was applied to the Spyder RS on Monday after the weekend, and then as the weekend approached and the logo-applying person's mood picked up, the logo was applied to our GT4 RS on Friday, so it may have been the one that got the logo to the top."
We were having such a silly conversation and laughing (lol).
When I got home, just to be sure, I checked the position of the rear logo on other Spider RS and GT4 RS models using photos, including those on the internet, and sure enough, the Spider RS has the logo on the bottom and the GT4 RS has it on the top, so it seems that's the way it is (lol).

I don't know why they made such a difference in the position of the logo (perhaps a design consideration of how it looks with and without wings?), but it made me realize that even the smallest details have been carefully considered.

It was a fun day where one of my dreams came true - to line up next to a wonderful Spider RS.
I have made some other discoveries, which I will write about separately.
